There is too much that has happened to possibly write about it all, but we'll inclue some highlights.
We moved from Dortmund to Minneapolis. We had a hard time saying good-bye to our friends (including Emi's good friend Clemens, pictured above). After several gatherings, we boarded a plane at 10 in the morning and our time in Germany came to an end. We've cried a lot, but are beginning to get adjusted.
Emi has become very independent lately. She loves eating toast with apple butter generously made by our friend Adrienne. She also has started walking. After being a bit like a pinball she now is rather stable and takes off with bags and xylophones.
She is also really interested in her feet.
Now, we're prepping for a new adjustment: life as a family with two working parents and a caregiver for Em. Rob started his job about 3 weeks ago and I start mine tomorrow. It will be hard leaving the divine miss m with someone new, but i'm sure she'll be excited to be out from under our parental eyes! After the summer, she'll hopefully get a spot in the toddler community of the school at which I'm working. Fingers crossed and ready for more time at the lakes.
