
Euro 2008, a World-Cup-like soccer tournament, kicked off this past weekend. I have no idea who these Polish people (right) are, but they are exactly the kind of crazies that are suddenly dropping through the grocery store or standing in front of us on the train as though it's perfectly normal. Dortmund is full of Polish, Turkish and Italian immigrants so we've got no shortage of passion at any given time.
We're just hoping all the excitement helps shorten the wait for our daughter. Liza had 6 contractions yesterday leading up to and during Germany's 2-0 win against Poland. Let's hope for a few more goals in tonight's games France vs. Romania and Italy vs. Netherlands. Tor!
