Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig!

After an eight-hours stuck on a plane in a seat behind an obese and inconsiderate man, Emi and I returned home. Rob greeted us at the airport and helped us haul everything back to our apartment. After a short nap, we went for a walk to try to keep me awake (Emi was doing just fine). Apparently, it has been unusually cold in Frankfurt the past two weeks. It isn't nearly as cold as Minneapolis, but it was a shock to Emi and I who were most recently enjoying Houston's unseasonably warm temperatures (73 or so during last week).

As you can see, Emi has a great ride for enjoying such outdoor adventures. We really need to thank our friends Vanessa and Tobias for loaning us this stroller. Emi has moved beyond the bassinet attachment and gets to sit up and face forward now. When we went for a walk to the baker today, she was actually giggling during the trip.

After a seemless transition to the new time zone last night, Emi is showing signs of her extensive travels. It is now 1:30 and she has been awake for 2 1/2 hours struggling to recognize our time zone difference. I am experiencing similar alertness, but am not in as good of a mood. While she can't stop smiling, I can't stop muttering, "Please Emi, it's time to sleep." I just hope she sleeps well tomorrow.
